We’ve completely upgraded the
Air + Figma plugin
to make design workflows smoother, faster, and more connected. With this release, managing assets and designing in Figma finally feels like one continuous workflow.
No more digging through drives or losing track of versions — now your assets flow directly into your design process, and updates sync back to Air without friction.
What's New
  • Aspect Ratio Control During Insertion:
    Take precise control over how your assets appear in Figma with new aspect ratio locking options available directly during the insertion process. No more manual adjustments after import - get it right the first time.
  • Drag & Drop from Plugin to Canvas:
    Speed up your workflow with intuitive drag and drop functionality. Simply drag assets from the plugin's board view directly onto your Figma canvas. (Available in the native Figma app only)
  • Video Support:
    Bring your designs to life by inserting videos (.mov, .mp4, .webm) directly from Air into Figma. Note: Videos must be under 100MB and use supported formats per Figma's limitations.
  • Version Stacking Made Easy:
    Keep your asset organization tight with the ability to export Figma assets as new versions on existing Air stacks - all from within the plugin's context menu. No more switching between browser tabs.
  • Transparent PNG Fix:
    We've resolved the transparency bug that was affecting PNG imports. Assets now maintain their transparent backgrounds perfectly when moving from Air to Figma.
  • Insert as Frame/Shape Fill:
    Streamline mockup creation by inserting Air assets directly as fills for frames or shapes. Perfect for quickly updating designs, creating collages, or replacing placeholder imagery.
  • Multi-Select Asset Import:
    Select and import multiple assets at once when working with content from the same Air board. Batch operations have never been easier.

What Stays the Same
